Ready for my comeback!
Have you ever given a friend, family member or spouse a piece of advice, only to later find out you needed that very same guidance? That literally happened to me last night. The irony behind this is that I have been shoveling scripture down my husband's throat this past week, the very same scripture that brought me to tears, more like a sob, yesterday evening. I truly believe that this is a true testament on just how thoroughly God moves in our lives.
It seems that lately my husband and I are being tested, as we most often times are, but this one, never the less, has been quite challenging. Stress, worry and defeat have been lingering in our home for quite some time, with some days being worse than others. I think what allows me to get through difficult times is that during the struggle, I am always being reminded that everything is how it is suppose to be and that I will make it through just like all the previous times before.
During our journey through life, people and events can make things so difficult, but as I walk my path, just when I need it the most, I see a sign. It's so reassuring to hear the Lords message when it seems you need it most. Whether it through a friend, spouse, or scripture (in my case all three!) God will show you He is there. Just saying that out loud fills my heart with peace.
God will fight your battles and you will be victorious, just keep your peace. Never give up. Trust that when you are having a tough time, it won't last long.

When things are hard I am so much more driven to Jesus then when things are going smoothly... a sweet reminder from the Word is Psalm 62:7 -- On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
ReplyDeleteI love resting in God as my refuge when things are difficult, because He is so safe. I'm reminded in all of my failures that the cross is enough!!
Love you and love your honesty (and glad you shared your blog!) Praying that what you shared here would continue to be true for you today -- that God is with you, right now, and He is FOR you because of what Jesus has done!!
