Ready for my comeback!

Have you ever given a friend, family member or spouse a piece of advice, only to later find out you needed that very same guidance? That literally happened to me last night. The irony behind this is that I have been shoveling scripture down my husband's throat this past week, the very same scripture that brought me to tears, more like a sob, yesterday evening. I truly believe that this is a true testament on just how thoroughly God moves in our lives.

Chalkboard love

Recently, I have been aware of all the chalkboards and chalkboard related crafts printables etc. and I couldn't help but be inspired.

When I first stumbled upon the start of this chalkboard fad was a little less than a year ago when I was planning my daughter's 2nd birthday party. As I was searching the web for inspiration for theme and decoration ideas I found huge chalkboards for sale on Etsy. On these boards were information about the birthday girls, I only saw examples of little girls but I'm sure you could easily place an order for a little boy. It went from anywhere like how tall they were, how old they were going to be, down to favorite toys, movies, colors and favorite food. It was an excellent way to creatively display to your guests what your child was like and their interests. Not to forget, take a pictures every year and you have creative and cute way for you to remember those memories.

Getting my "teacher"on

I have an absolutely brilliant two year old daughter named Elicia, or Ellie as we often call her. For a while now, I have been wanting to get her started on a preschool curriculum, taught by myself that would cost me little to no money at all.  I am well aware that there are several that have great reputations but they cost money and I do plan on later getting her enrolled in a professional program at a school, but for right now I just prefer to do it myself.

Falling in love with autumn.

It seems that once again the dog days of summer are coming to a close. So in the heart of things, I can't help but get excited about what lies ahead with this up coming season.

I do, however, find it odd that I happen to have such an anticipation for this time of year, considering it feels like not so long ago that fall used to be the one season I dreaded the most, and let me tell you, those Ohio winters weren't the most pleasant of seasons either, so that's saying something. Perhaps its because fall, to me, meant change. Whether it a change of school, grade, or style, it was yet the start of another school year and all the stress that follows.
